Silver Lake Provincial Park is amongst one
of our favorite weekend spots. The fun playground is
adored by our 7 and 9 year old, as well the washed up snail
shells at the beach. The water is clean and adopts
"silver" look when the sun is shining down on
it. The picnic areas are beautiful overlooking the lake,
and the campsites near the water are cozy, clean and are a
pretty nice size.
The Marsh is great, and attracts birds,
bullfrogs and painted turtles. The kids loved going on
the boardwalk trail over and over again.
The
only downfall of the park is that the campsites near the
highway are noisy and not very private. If you're
going to camp there, we recommend reserving sites in the far
campground near the water. Almost any site you book
there will be sure to get your approval.
